For the 2% of members who might see a slight uptick in costs we've ensured the new portal compensates with enhanced features, capabilities, and security, alongside a non-expiring 25% discount for everyone, to ease the transition. In fact, we're offering the same 25% discount to anyone who joins CounselMore right now.

Choose an Active Student Records Tier that makes sense for your average annual number of students. If you go beyond that number you do not have to turn off a student record to turn on another - nope - you will simply add the new student at a rate of $1.00 - $4.00 depending on which tier you choose.

Base Plan: Starts at $35, covering up to five active student accounts, each with student, parent, and advisor portals. Stay at this tier or upgrade once you reach 11, when it's more affordable to change tiers.


11 is the Magic Number : If you have more than 11 students, consider a tier plan. Once you have 11 students, you receive 3 free students, when you move to the first tier plan $59/15 active student records. Our new price plan and extensive new platform is designed to better serve the modern college planner. Research shows 11 is the Magic Number for the first tipping point in growing your practice.


Unlimited Students: When you're ready - you'll enjoy the tiny price of just $150 /mo.

Flexible Costs: Choose the right active student allotment for a consistent monthly price. Increase your allotment as needed. Each tier provides a additional student cost discount. The more you add the smaller the cost.


Add An Assistant: Adding an assistant is the signal of the next phase of growth and THAT is a reason to celebrate. In light of your achievement we'll reward you with a 50% discount on your first additional license. Instead of $39 per month, you'll only pay $19 a month to add another general license to your account. Additional licenses can be added for $39 per month.

  • What Are the Specifics of the new tiers?

    A non-expiring 25% discount is included in all of the below price options. 


    Each time you upgrade a tier you receive the equivalent  of one or more free active student records because each tier packs a bigger discount.


    $35 / 5 Active students - add or subtract additional students : $4 /mo


    $59 / 15 Active students - add or subtract additional students : $2 /mo 


    $99 / 35 Active Student - add or subtract additional students : $1 /mo


    $150 - Unlimited student records


    Add additional staff licenses:

    $39* /mo


    *first additional license is 50% discount as a congratualtions for demonstrating the first signs of a growing your practice. That's Great!!

  • Where can I be trained on the new capabilities I have?

  • Can I Keep My Current Plan?

    Absolutely. You have the option to continue with your existing plan until the end of formal transition. 


    Depending on your type of account, the transition deadline will be different.  


    In some cases it is 3 months in others 6 months.  


    The majority of accounts will be migrated by August 1st 2024


    Current members should contact support@counselmore.com to discuss your specific benefits. 


    Our goal is to offer flexibility and choice, not to simply mandate changes.

  • How Does the Add-A-Student Option Work?

    If you need to exceed your plan's student limit, you can add students anytime. 


    When you do, you will be charged a tiny amount or a tiniest amount, dependnig on which tier you choose.


    This option is designed for flexibility without requiring a plan upgrade. 


    When it makes sense to you - you always have the option to move up in plan level.

  • What Happens If I Exceed My Plan's Student Limit?

    No surprises! 


    If you exceed your plan's limit, you can either use the add-a-student option to add additional students  


    (add a single active student account, one by one as you need) 


    or if you believe the increased need will be sustained, consider saving yourself some money by upgrading to a higher tier that accommodates your increased need. 


    As you increase tier levels, your costs per student will go down.

  • How Are Inactive Students Handled?

    There are 3 types of student account status: 

    - Prospective

    - Archive

    - Active


    When you create a student record, you choose the status.  


    By default, the student account is a "Prospect".  


    When the status is changed to "Active", the number of active student records increases.


    When that student record is moved to "Archive" or "Prospect" , the total active student count will go down. 


    The status  of each account can be changed as you please - anytime.  


    When a status is in Archive, you will still have 100% access to the student record. The record is fully viewable.

  • What If I Need to Downgrade My Plan?

    Downgrading your plan is always possible.


    Migrate to the new platform and choose the number of students you need and still keep all of the capabilities and even experience brand new features.

  • How Will Billing and Payments Change?

    They won't change in any noticable way - although its more than likely you'll be paying less. 


    When you change plans, the results will be seen in the following month billing cycle.


    If you have a pre paid account then your next charges will pull from the credit first. 


    Billing will be based on the number of active students in your account and which active student alottment you have chosen. 


    Control your costs by choosing a consistent active student record alottment. 


    If you add an additional active student, thereby going beyond your pre-selected allotment, you will pay a tiny monthly fee for the additional student, until you choose to increase your plan level 


    or you change the status of the student record to "Prospect" or "Archive".


    Each time you choose to increase your plan level, your price per student will go down. See graph.


    Payments can be made monthly or annually, depending on your chosen plan, with clear, straightforward invoices.

  • Will There Be Future Pricing Changes?

    While we aim for stability in our pricing, we will continue to evaluate and adjust as necessary to reflect market conditions and the evolving needs of our clients. 

  • What happens if I'm on a legacy plan and don't change plans?

    Your billing and service will remain unchanged until you decide to make the transition. 

    Your legacy account will remain active and unchanged.

  • How long does migration to the new platform take?

    Unless CounselMore contacts you first with instructions...


    1) A CounselMore member inquires and requests a platform change. They will be asked to which Tier they intend to move to and their expected number of Active students. When the member replies, their Active student count will be confirmed.


    2) Development will then generate a ticket to begin the member's migration. Our team then has to make changes to the individual member account. At the same time our billing office will make sure the member's account will charge correctly. When those 2 items are in place, our customer service team will write again to the member with instructions on how to complete the migration.


    3) The member receives instructions and must complete the migration steps from their desktop. This requiers choosing the new Tier from My Account.


     If you have not yet made an inquiry to support about your migration, then you will find your My Account button is replaced by a Contact Us button.

  • I still see a contact us button even though I received an email that told me I could migrate. What should I do?

    Contact us. That's our fault. As we migrate you sometime our wifi cuts out and the system doesn't take the command. Please let us know. Thank you!

  • We have multiple licenses or counselors - does this pertain to us?

    No - you are special - email support@counselmore.com

  • What new features will be available in the new plan?

    Zapier and Stripe integrations, ability to add an assistant at all account levels AND at a 50% discount, free counselor directory, new grad data, easier custom data collection, financial fit tab, new Google Drive options, new partners, monthly mentorship circle professional development, along with a 25% promotional discount, are designed to ensure that everyone benefits from this transition.

  • I don't know how to migrate to the new platform, what should I do?

    Our approach involves reaching out to each member individually to assist with the migration process personally, ensuring it aligns with each member's comfort level and timeline. You will receive an email from us but if you don't want to wait - please initiate your transition just by emailing support@counselmore.com - we are always here for you. 

  • How can I know what I will be paying with the new plan?

    How can I know what I will be paying with the new plan?


    Navigate to 'Settings' in the top right corner, select 'My Account,' and click on 'See Other Plans' to explore your new pricing options. As a valued legacy member, you'll find a 'Contact Us' button instead of the usual purchase option, as we'll handle the backend changes for you and migrate with you.

  • I am a Multi License account holder with a team of consultants, when will my account migrate?

    Legacy account holders have the choice of staying on their current platform. 


    At present, Multi License accounts are not being migrated due to their already advanced capabilities and the need for more detailed attention. 


    We are currently focusing on other migrations but encourage those with specific concerns to contact us, including anticipated numbers of active students.

  • I saw the new price and I like my current price better, what should I do?

    Legacy account holders have the choice of staying on their current platform. 


    Please reach out to our support desk with your concerns, including the number of active students you have and your reasons for preferring the current plans.
