Apply online now using this form.
Reference commonapp.org or the Common App Student Advisory Committee webpage for more details. Email the Common App with any questions at studentadvisory@commonapp.org.
The Student Advisory Committee will include 15–20 students that will meet monthly with the Common App from July 2022 to December 2023. Student participants will receive a monthly stipend of $70. All college students and high school juniors and seniors are welcome to apply. Learn more about the position and how to apply at mailchi.mp/commonapp/studentadvisory.
Common App announced for the 2022-2023 admissions cycle, and continuing into the 2023-2024 cycle, the questions related to gender and fee waivers will be revised to better reflect the students that use the Common App. Campus Pride is proud to partner with the Common App in support of its efforts to include trans and nonbinary students.
For the 2022-2023 application season, Common App will add “Mx.” and “other” options for counselor, parent, recommender, teacher, and advisor prefix options, as well as add “legal” to the first/given name question label.
Beginning in the 2023-2024 application season, Common App will add ‘X’ or ‘another legal sex’ as an option in addition to ‘female’ and ‘male’. In 2021, the Common App included changes like preferred names and pronouns to the application. Read more about trans-inclusive changes to the Common App on the Campus Pride blog.
